Vista allows by pass of activation (XP\SP2\IE7)

In today's newsletter, Brian Livingston, writing for Windows Secrets, reveals that Windows Vista allows the bypass of the activation, possibly indefinitely.
Microsoft has acknowledged this fact but of course, does not publicize it.
So instead of just delaying activation, a simple registry change can push this time out seemingly forever.

    Interesting read.

And because Mr. Livingston, under the guise of being obligated to publish that information as an author, chose to tell the world how to cheat Microsoft out of their due, I immediately canceled my paid subscription; the same reason I canceled my paid subscription to Finny's rag. It is no defense to say, for example, "Hey, if I didn't publish this information someone else would!" It would seem his primary motivation was to gain popularity and make more money from his newsletter. We used to call this type of irresponsible behaviour, "Yellow Journalism". But doubtless, it is deemed acceptable in today's perverted world. <img src=/S/igiveup.gif border=0 alt=igiveup width=31 height=23>
