Cannot convert Access database w/Vista Sync Center

How may I transfer/convert my Access database files to my Dell Axim X-30 with Vista? I've tried using Vista's Sync Center and all it shows is that file conversion is only supported in devices running Windows Mobile 2003 SE (which is the OS on my Axim) or earlier. The Sync Center only provides instruction for moving or copying files to a device, nothing about converting database files for use on the device. Access files that are merely copied to the (Axim) device are not "converted" and so are unusable (I tried it). What I did in the past (before getting our current Dell system, running Vista Home Premium), was to have ActiveSync convert the new/updated database for use on the Axim X-30 and then use the converted file on the Axim through a third party product (I use abdDB Professional version 6.12 by Pocketsoft). I use several Access databases that are on my Axim device in my work daily and need to find a way to continue updating the databases via Vista.

This program adds adoce connectivity to the Vista wmdc. Microsoft for some reason decided to stop all support for Access .cdb files way back in version 4. of activesync.
If you are dependent on Access databases you needed to convert them to SQL or similar, but this program adds its own sync module to the mix, I use it on Vista and it is a life saver, works very similar to activesync and cost less than $40

You can do that? View a db on a smartphone?

    I didn't know that!

There are a number of database applications for Windows Mobile (aka PocketPC aka WinCE). I have been using HanDBase for PocketPC. It will synch automatically with your Access database. The Professional version comes with a desktop development environment so you can design your forms on the desktop and then transfer the to your Win Mobile device.

I should add that HanDBase uses its own proprietry file format. I'm not sure about the Kianoe (SprintDB) product.
