    Opening Paradox files (2003 sp2)

The Access OPEN dialog box lists Paradox (*.db) as a file type that can be opened. However when I try to open a file I get an error the file is of an unexpected format. Is an Addin required for opening Paradox files?
    Thanks

Access can only handle Paradox files up to version 5. Paradox 7 and 8 are not supported. See How to use Paradox data with Access and Jet.

The files are from Paradox V1.0. It is probably some security issue. I was hoping I could just link to the data or press some conversion wizard button. I think we call this job security.

Hmm, the article I referred to only mentions Paradox 3, 4 and 5. Do you have Paradox yourself? Perhaps you can export from Paradox to a format that Access can read (plain text, DBase)

I do not have Paradox but I can have limited access to the machine that does. I will export the data to text files.
    Thanks
