    truncate data (2003 sp2)

    Greetings,
I have the following data in a column, (format is always the same)

    1080500789 001 1

number of rows vary. Need to remove the space and 001 01. It is possible that the 001 01 is different, but the leading digits are always 10 digits.

    nay Ideas?

    Thanks Brad

Say your data are in A1:A100
    In B1, enter the formula

    =LEFT(A1,10)

    Fill down to B100.
With B1:B100 still selected, select Edit | Copy, then Edit | Paste Special > Values.
This replaces the formulas with their values.
You can now delete column A.
