Set up of email account (2000)

I recently made a change on my computer that resulted in Outlook 2000 being the default mail account as opposed to OE. My preference is Outlook 2000 but for some reason I must be missing a setting - it's imported all my folders but it won't send or receive email. Unfortunately, my ISP doesn't offer support to anything but OE...don't know why. I wondered if someone here could assist me in making this work.

I have the correct pop account, ensured incoming and outgoing mail is correct and well as the incoming mail server. I have checked that I am connecting using LAN...what have I missed?

Oh heck...I've seen the problem. I thought I could skip over the part where it asks for a password. Apparently that's what it wanted to work properly. So sorry!!!
