Using a new version of a library MDE (Access 2002 SP2)

    Hello all.,

We have an Access XP MDE database which refers to library MDE file containing common code etc. However if we release a new version of the library MDE we seem to need to recompile the application MDE against it.

Does anyone know of a reliable way around this problem?

    Thanks in advance

You're basically stuck with it. If you do a search in Google Web or Google Groups for access reference mde recompile you'll find some workarounds, but they either involve hacking the .mde file or using undocumented Access system functions. I wouldn't want to rely on either for "serious" databases.
