I am frustrated with this aweful green colour in the office task panes. I have tried most windows appearance and office settings and still cant find out where to modify this to standard black again.

The clickable items in the task panes are hyperlinks, so their color is determined by the color you use for hyperlinks. You can set this in Internet Explorer: select Tools | Options... and click the Colors button near the bottom of the General tab.

Apparently, you have a bad taste in hyperlink colors... <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>
I am sitting at a PC that is used for training purposes....someone else has bad taste... <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
PS: I meant to type blue of staed of black...(hyperlinks (unvisited) are actually blue...not black!) <img src=/S/yep.gif border=0 alt=yep width=15 height=15>
