    Active Cell Color (2000)

One user here swears when she used to click on a cell it was a certain color. Now for some reason, the active cell is a different color. I've also compared two different computers, One is gray, one is purplish. I've changed window settings in desktop properties, but don't see any changes and I've checked in excel/tools/options and don't see anywhere to set/change this.

I searched archives but didn't see anything relevant. Any light shed on this would be great.

Have a look at this thread. Maybe there is an easier way to do it, but then I am also curious to know how.

Your mention of "purplish" sounds like Excel 2000 when you select a range of cells (versus a single cell). Earlier versions used a different color, I think it was light gray. Do both computers have Excel 2000?

Yes both are 2000. I'm not sure I understand the vba solution. I'm not trying to change a 'Fill' color just the "native" active cell color.
