    Filter specific data or all (Accesss 2003)

    Hi all,

    I have queried this before by have searched and cannot find my own query??? Also I saved it on my flash disk and after two years removed it the other day. Murphy's law comes and now I get a request on how to filter for a value or everything...and I cannot remember.

    Please help remind me...

    How does one set the criteria of a query so that the result bring back either one selection or all. I.e if one wants to look in all products, only for

    I assume that you mean a parameter query. Set the criteria like this:

    [Enter Product] Or [Enter Product] Is Null

    If the user enters a specific product name, the query will select records with that product. If the parameter prompt is left blank, all records will be returned.
    You can replace [Enter Product] with a reference to a control on a form, e.g. [Forms]![frmCriteria]![txtProduct]
