Count Question (Excel 2003 ver 11.8117.8122 SP@)

I did a search and have not been able find a solution to my problem. I have data in column B. I want to count/total the number of cells in column A that match the data selected in Column B.

For example, column B contains the following texts: level l , level 2, level 3. Column A contains a date or "00/00/0000". I want to count/total the number of items that contain "00/00/0000" and match up with the text - level 2.

Say that the data are in A2:B100 (row 1 contains column headers).
The following formula will count the number of rows where column A contains "00/00/0000" and column B contains "level 2":

    =SUMPRODUCT((A2:A100="00/00/0000")*(B2:B100="level 2"))

That is exactly what I wanted. I had variations of the formula but could never get it to work. As usual Hans you are a life savor. Thank you very much.
