    Illegal System DLL Relocation (Windows XP Pro)

    Hi

    Can someone tell me whats going on here and how I can resolve it please. I suddenly happened after a Windows Auto Update!!

    This is a side effect of recent security updates. A conflict between two of them breaks some applications, among which the RealTek HD Audio Control Panel. There is a hotfix from Microsoft, see Certain third-party applications may not start, and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation".

    Thank you for your reply, I did try to find this on the Microsoft Site but did not have any luck.

    Once again thanks for your efforts on this matter, I am sure I won't be the only one to ask this question.
