Network Attached Storage

I'm posting this here because although it's a hardware item, my question revolves around networking the device. I'm looking to add storage to my network for profile and home directory redirection. I'm looking at the the Infrant ReadyNAS NV+ (3TB). Any opinions/suggestions?

Do you want to tell us about your experience in setting it up etc?

Is it what you wanted? Does it meet your expectations? How quiet is is?

I ask because NAS will be a future move for me for my home network and I'd like to hear / read success stories

Unless you are going to move soon on NAS, I'd recommend looking into Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows: Windows Home Server Beta/CTP Preview. It has gotten a lot of favorable publicity (even the beta test versions).

Not only a beta but a public CTP. You can go to Windows Home Server to signup. Not sure if they are accepting more now but you'll get on a list if not.
