    Excel Linking (2003)

I am trying to take a number and link it to automatically to update a master spreadsheet and everytime this is updated I need to take the most current number. For example Row A 1 1000 then So the Master would be 1000 then Row A 2 is 5000 so the master needs to say 5000 Row A 3 is 100,000 the master needs to say 100,000..... What formula do I need to write to have it read the updated row?

    Thank you,

    Laura

How about something like this (change the sheet name as desired):
    =INDEX(Sheet1!A:A,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,Shee t1!A:A))
