Copying Subtotal Results (Office 2003)

I have a user with a spreadsheet that uses Excel's subtotal features. He wants to copy JUST the subtotals, not the underlying data. Is there a way to do that? All the obvious ways bring the underlying rows with the paste.

It can be pasted into Access, then copied back out, but is there a way to do it just within Excel? Not everyone has Access to do that extra step.

Thanks!

Use the outline buttons to hide everything but the subtotals.
Select the range you want to copy.
Press Ctrl+G or select Edit | Go To...
Click Special...
Click "Visible cells only", then click OK.
Now copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) will copy only the subtotals.

You should be able to collapse the data so that only the subtotals are showing, select the data, press
Alt + ;
to select only the visible cells, then copy and paste. You will need to Paste Special-> values.
