New line Macro (Office 2000)

    Hi,
I've been trying to do a Macro in which it simply goes to a new line but I haven't been successful.

Every month I have to enter the liquor inventory figures in a worksheet that goes across on the same line. Sometimes it's just a couple of entries, other times it has 10 or 12. This spreadsheet is 8-10 pages long.

I change the "Move selection after Enter" to Right for data entry but then I either use the arrow keys to go back to the beginning of the next line or just click on it. I was hoping to create a Macro that when I use the keyboard keys (like Ctrl X or something like that) it would automatically move down one row and back to Column E.

I've only been successful in creating one Macro before but this one has me stumped. How would I go about creating this macro?

    Thank you
    Louise

    The basic code would be:

Cells(ActiveCell.Row + 1, "E").Activate

If you use the tab key move to the right, you can then press enter in your last column and you will be taken back to the first column where your tabbing began. You would have to change the Enter behavior back to Move Down.
