Getting past an AVG firewall
Using a VPN connection, I am trying to Remote Desktop into a PC which is running the paid-for version of AVG Antivirus 7.5, which has its own software firewall. The MSTSC.EXE program has been 'allowed'. The result is that the attempted Remote Desktop connection times out.
This is just on the off-chance that someone has a similar configuration and has got it to work. I am trying to get AVG Tech Supp to look at the matter, too...
PS I should have said that if you Deactivate the entire firewall, then you can Remote Desktop to that PC without problems.<font face="Script MT Bold"><font color=blue><big><big>John</big></big></font color=blue></font face=script>

Re: Getting past an AVG firewall
I don't know whether AVG Firewall logs denied connections by port number, but if so, you might find a port you need to open up.
