    msxml (XpP (SP-2))

On my HD I have several folders that contain a text document titled msxml(x-KBxxxxxx)-enu Text Document. Apparently these have something to do with MS Updates, but I am not sure. When I opened one the first line was "=== Verbose logging started: 3/2/2007 3:44:02 Build type: SHIP UNICODE 3.01.4000.2435 Calling process: C:WINDOWSsystem32msiexec.exe ==="
What exactly are these and is it safe to delele them?
    Thanks John

Logs from the installation of a patch to some version of the Microsoft XML parser. I'd say it is safe to delete them. If you are reluctant rename one or more for a few days and see if anything 'goes bump in the night'. Then delete them.

Well, I deleted one of those folders and we didn't have a bump in the night, we had an explosion!...LOL Apparently those have to do with the BCM in Outlook 2007. The BCM would not associate itself with the data base, and that also meant that the Small Business Accounting Software which is tied to BCM, wouldn't work. After I put the folder back in place all is well. Best to leave those alone. <img src=/S/meltdown.gif border=0 alt=meltdown width=15 height=15>

I went back into Windows Explorer, and created a new folder call ALL New so that it would show up first in the tree. I then very carefully moved those folders into that folder. All is working properly and my Windows Explorer tree looks normal again and I can find things. <img src=/S/joy.gif border=0 alt=joy width=23 height=23>
