Convert date from numerical to text (Word 2003/XP)

Is there a way to convert a numerical date (e.g. 1/5/07) from a user form into text (January 5, 2007) on the final form?

Let's assume you have a string from your UserForm, such as "1/5/07". You can convert this to a date using CDate(). Then you can format the date using Format().

Format(CDate(yourString), "mmmm d, yyyy")

Does that do what you need?

(If it isn't a valid date, CDate will generate an error message.)
