    Form field tutorial (XP/2003)

I was given a boilerplate contract form to analyze and found some very interesting form fields.
I am not very familiar with them, but the document was extremely useful.
If there somewhere I can find a good tutorial on how to enter and use these form fields.

A general description of one of these fields is as follows:

After selecting the entire form field titled

The "prompt' field is probably not a form field, but an Ask field or a Fillin field. You can check this by right-clicking the field (while the document is unprotected) and selecting Toggle Field Codes from the popup menu. See the built-in help or Field codes: Ask field and Field codes: Fill-in field.
To refer to a bookmark elsewhere, the Ref field is used - see Field codes: Ref field.
For bookmarks associated with a form field, tick the "Calculate on Exit" check box in the form field properties dialog to make Ref fields referring to the bookmark update automatically when the user tabs out of the form field.

    Thank you Hans,
Yes, it is a Ask field since the Toggle Field code shows up. I printed the references you
provided and will study them. This "Ask" and "Fillin" is something I have never encounter
before. Is there a "how-to" manual available from microsoft or elsewhere on this general
    subject?
Thank you again for your help.
