max users Access FE SQLServer BE (xp/2003)

Does anyone have real world experience on the number of maximum useres with Access as the FE and SQLServer as the backend?
We are talking about 50 simeltaneous users. Is that feasible? The specs say it can, but is that realistic? One "roadblock" in my organization claims emphatically NO! Is he correct?
    Thanks

Fifty simultaneous users should not be a problem at all if you give each user an individual copy of the Access frontend. If you use a single, shared Access frontend, you run into the limitations of Access rather than of SQL Server.
