Default reminder time fror emails (2007)

If I add a reminder to an email (select item, press Ctrl+Shift+G), it defaults to 4pm. How do I change the default?

(Edited by jscher2000 on 19-Apr-07 13:07. Whoops.)
Mine defaults to None and None for date and time. I'd like to know how you got 4:00!

Added: Sorry, that was for Outlook/Exchange 2003, not Outlook 2007.

Re: Default reminder time fror emails (2007)

Is there a simple way to change the default time? I get tired of seeing 4PM. What's wrong with having it at 8AM default or some other time of my choosing? Or do I need to change the end of day hours to 9AM?

    Using Outlook 2007.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately NO. The time defaults to 1 hour before the end of your defined work day. See Change Flag Reminder Default Time - microsoft.public.outlook | Google Groups for a discussion of this issue.

Re: Default reminder time fror emails (2007)

As pointed out higher up in this thread, the default time for a same-day reminder is 1 hour before the end of your working day. The only way to change the default to 8 AM would be to set the end of your working day to 9 AM, but is the annoyance strong enough to start working the night shift?

Hans, while I do really like my job, I think the overnight shift is not what I had in mind.

Wonder why Microsoft doesn't allow us to adjust the default time? Seems like it would be easy to do.

    Thanks everyone!
