    Replacement for Outlook? (2003)

I've been using Outlook since waaaaay back. However, because I travel so much, I've done away with an ISP e-mail in favor of gmail. However, I still rely on Outlook for scheduling and contacts and synch the data with my pocket PC.

I just loaded Outlook 2003 SP2 on my new XP machine and have found it so painfully slow (like waiting two or three seconds to switch from one week to another) that I'm now seriously considering dumping this pig in favor of something else. Any suggestions? The critical factor is synching with my PPC.

If Outlook does what you want as far as synchronizing with PPC, I'd suggest that you look at debugging the Outlook performance. Since you have a new PC, is it up to date with patches for both XP & Outlook? What are the hardware specifications on the PC? Are you experiencing the slow in a specific Calendar view? Is it a customized view? Do you have any addins for Outlook?
