    VPN Connection (Vista Home Premium)

I just got a new computer at home running on Vista. At work we're on XP Prof/Office 07. Last night I attempted to set up my VPN connection to work, and after completing all the steps the system indicated that I was connected to the network, but it wasn't visible anywhere. I'm wondering if there is a lack of backward compatibility and that since work isn't running on Vista, I'm not able to see anything on our network....

    Any ideas?

First I would check your firewall settings.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Not sure if this is relevant to your situation but is your VPN software Vista compatible? I have a similar situation - using same as you at work and just got a new Vista Home Premium computer at home. In my case the VPN software would not completely load on my computer so it looks like you've gotten further than I did. My office IT support tells me our VPN isn't yet Vista compatible. We are using WatchGuard Firebox.
