Print from Excel (97 SR 2)

I have the capability of using remote desktop to access an Excel application overseas and have encountered a challenge when trying to print to a LAN printer overseas. The papersize is A4, here in the States it is letter. I have checked the overseas printer's properties and it is set to A4; this is good.

The challenge is that one has to press a button on the overseas printer for the next page to print. I have multiple print jobs and simply having one stand by the printer and press a button is not very productive.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

    Thanks,
    John

What is the paper size indicated in the Page Set... within Excel? You should be able to set the page size to A4 there.

When you print, click on the Properties button in the printer dialog box, then click on the Paper tab in the dialog box. Check to see what paper size is set there. If it is not A4, then change it.

The papersize from within Excel was the issue.

To overcome this I now have a combobox which one can select "A4 or Letter". Upon the change of the combobox the papersize is changed behind the scene.

    Thanks for your assistance.
