    W2K Menu magic

    Using Word 2000:

Something happened and now the menu options with the ... after them are opening a seperate window instead of a dropdown next to the first menu. Which means that now after choosing the item I want I have to close the window too -- Two mouse clicks when one would do >:-(

I can't figure out why they changed the way they display and I can't find out how to put them back.

    Any ideas?
    TIA
    Donald

    Hi Donald:
Are you sure they changed?? Menu items that end in ... are SUPPOSED to open a separate dialog box. The ones that have a right pointing arrow will open a submenu.

    Re: W2K Menu magic

Well maybe I was hallucinating. The one that upset me was the Insert | Break option. I "thought" it was just opening a dropdown next to the main menu and all of a sudden I was chasing a separate window around the screen. But after calming down I found that double clicking the option I want makes the window go away. So maybe I was remembering a previous version or something.

    Thanks.
    Donald
