Best way to upgrade from 2000 Pro to XP Pro?

    Hello,

I run Office 2000 Pro and Win 98 SE. I have the OEM edition of Office XP Pro (which I believe is also the full, not the upgrade, edition), which I am about to install.

From your experience, should I uninstall Office 2000 and then install Office XP, or should I simply install XP over 2000?

On another note, after my Office installation, I am planning to install Windows 2000 Pro over Windows 98 SE.

    Thanks for your help.

If you have a full legal version (an OEM version is only supposed to be supplied with new machines and isn't supposed to be sold separately), it doesn't matter which way you install unless you have a lot of customizations. If you don't want to lose your current preferences settings, you'll need to do an upgrade and replace the current version. I haven't installed the XP upgrade, but I had no problems upgrading Office 97 to Office 2000.
