    Vlookup Fails (v2k)

    Hi,

This looks like a simple problem--why does the vlookup fail when the data, data type, etc. are the same?

    Thanks!

Because the string in F18 has a space character after and the string in column A does not. Therefore, the two strings do not match.

    What Legare says.

You could use this formula in G2 and fill down:

    =VLOOKUP(TRIM(F2),$A$2:$C$57,3,FALSE)

This gets rid of any trailing spaces.
