Recreating Form (2003/11.5614.8122)

Not sure how I did it, but I must have deleted a form I spent a lot of time creating. It was based on a table with 500+ entries, and when I wanted to add a new record using the form for the first time, I hit Records | Data Entry and ++poof++ all the records were gone. But just from the form. Fortunately, the table is fine. And my custom designed form is still there, minus the data. So, how do I produce the customized form with the data from the table again? And how do I use the form to enter new data, w/o deleting all the old data?

Thanks!

Records | Data Entry means that the form can only be used to enter new records, not to view / edit existing records.
Open the form in design view and set the Data Entry property (in the Data tab of the Properties window) to No. Save and close the form, then reopen it in form view. You should see the existing records again.

Go to the design view of your form. Right click in the corner and go to properties, and then to the Data tab. Change 'Data Entry' to No. Save and reopen.

Thank you, both! It's working again, and so must I.

It's hard to decide on the proper response....you're welcome, or I'm sorry? Glad to help.

Nothing to feel sorry about -- I could choose NOT to work. I can quit entering data any time I want. I just enjoy data entry at 3 AM. (I tell myself.)
