    multipassword (excel2003)

    hi all,
say you have a workbook with multiple sheets or tabs, each tab or a sheet has a name and you want to assign a specific password to a specific a group (name) to have access to certain sheets(tabs)and within that group you want to assign a nother specific password(s) to a person or to a group within that group, such that they will have access only to those sheets (tabs) that belongs to them, my question is that possible and are there any limitations and how? sample attached.

    Hi HansV,

I think my situation fit by the second part of your reply (the code part).

I will imagine my self like a department head who has permission to access (view and edit) all sheets in a work book, and I want to send that workbook to all division heads for update, I will assign a specific password for each division head that is linked to his/her sheets in the work book. After each division head received the work book with permission to view and edit only his sheets, he or I will assign a specific password for each unit to have permission to view and edit only his/her sheets of the division sheets, which will be assigned by me or his/her division head.

    Regards,
    TIA

It'll be a lot of work, but it should be possible. Good luck!
