Hide mouse over (2002)

We have a presentation that has many hyperlinks to other presentations or movies. The presentation with all other documents will be on CD, DVD or jump-drive for distribution to clients. One of the issues is that during the slide show when you move the mouse over the picture which represents the hyperlink, the file name and path displays. Is there any way to hide or remove the display of the file name?

You cannot suppress them altogether (it is a Windows setting), but you can change the text that is displayed.
Open the presentation in design view.
Right-click a hyperlink and select Edit Hyperlink from the popup menu.
Click the Screen Tip... button.
Specify the text you want to appear on mouse over instead of the path and filename. It can be a short description, or even a single space.
OK your way out.
You'll have to do this for each hyperlink.

Thanks, Hans, I think that is a easy solution.

One other little question. Sometimes the bullets (using the WingDing font character of 4 diamonds) displays as a "v" instead. If we imbed the fonts will this problem be solved?

Yes, that's probably a font problem. Embed the fonts and try it out in one or two external sites.

Thanks, Hans, we were afraid that was the solution. We hope to keep the presentations small, but we also want them to look good.
