    count & user criteria (2000)

I have a query where users can select to show results and counts for the number of times ta given customer has contacted the organisation to discuss a particular product so
Cust A - Cars 3, Cust B - Cars 2, Cust C -Cars 5, which is fine when I am filtering out to see how many questions cust A has asked etc. The problem lies when I want my query to show all, what I get is as illustrated but I want is cars 7 i.e. total of all car questions not three seperate records on the query. How can I achieve this on the same query?

    Thanks Darren.

One way to do this is to create a crosstab query with the product as row header, the customer as column header and the count as value field. The Crosstab Query Wizard offers the option to calculate row totals.

Another option is to create a report, group it by product, and place a subtotal in the group footer.

(As you may infer from my reply, you cannot do what you want with a single standard query)
