    Re: Print Preview (IE 7)

This question has been asked many times in the newsgroups. Up to date, there is no way to turn off "Shrink to fit" by default - there is no registry setting for it. <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

    Re: Print Preview (IE 7)

While I agree it would be nice, and we should be able to change the default setting (shrink to fit) to something else and have that stick, but it seems to me that defeats the whole purpose of the "new" print preview in IE7. In previous versions of IE, if you sent the page you were viewing to the printer, much of the right side would be chopped off and would not appear in the print out. IE7 automatically fixes that so the full page prints, and the shrink to fit preview merely reflects that.

Sitting half way through my quinquagenarian years, I can sympathize with your small print concerns (I got full lens computer/reading glasses just for sitting in front of my monitors!) perhaps the correct answer is a bigger monitor/different resolution - at least until MS gets enough complaints.
