    AIM (Windows XP)

    Hello,

I do not know why or how, but everytime I restart my computer, AIM automatically starts up. Does anyone know how to make that annoying program not appear unless I tell it to?

    Thank you,

    JMT

Select Edit | Settings > Sign In/Sign Out.
Clear the check box "Start AIM when Windows starts".

Remember that Hans' advice will only work until you upgrade AIM (a rather frequent occurrence I understand). It will then reset itself to start when Windows starts and you will have to apply the "fix" again. <img src=/S/hmmn.gif border=0 alt=hmmn width=15 height=15>
