Paste link to Excel named Range (2003)

I want to create a hyperlink that will take me to a named range in an Excel workbook. When I click the hyperlink I want it to open the Excel file and select the whole named range. I can't seem to get this to work. I tried hyperlink, but that only linked to the whole workbook. I tried paste special as a link, but that inserted a blank table for the hyperlink. It worked, but I want a line of text that you click on, not a whole table.

Insert the hyperlink to the file and add a #rangename at the end

For example a hyperlink to Cocuments and SettingsmeDesktopBook1.xls#aaa will open with the named range aaa selected
