    Total group of worksheets (2003)

    Hi,

    Have been given a task of totaling a group of worksheets.
    Excel (workbook?) contains 31 worksheets (1 for each day) that have daily takings on them.
    Have added a "totals" worksheet and am attempting to acquire a total of a number of cells from the 31 individual worksheets.
    i.e. a total of cell C14 from each of the 31 worksheets.

    Have tried to figure it out from help, but am getting lost in 3D intsructions.

    Is their a simple solution for this that I am missing?

    Thanks
    Neville

    Say that your sheets are named Day1, Day2, ..., Day31, and that they are next to each other in this order. The following formula will add C14 across the sheets:
    <code>
    =SUM('Day1ay31'!C14)
    </code>
    You can create this formula by typing it entirely, but also by typing <code>=SUM(</code>, then clicking on the first sheet tab, Shift+clicking on the last sheet tab, and finally clicking on the cell.

    Thanks again Hans, Initially was clicking on the cell on the 1st & last sheet - not the sheet tab name.
