    Combined characters (Excel 2003)

I need to be able to insert a character similar to the copyright or trademark symbols, an O with a C or T inside. What I need is an O with a small m inside. I have learned how to do this in Word, using the foeld code Advance. Bit is there something similar to this in Excel?

Excel doesn't have the same capability. Alternatives:

    1) Use a font that has circled characters, such as MS Mincho. You'll still have to use another application to get the circled M. For example:
    - Select Start | (All) Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Character Map.
    - Select the MS Mincho font (if you have it).
    - Scroll down until you see the circled letters.
    - Select the circled M, then click Select, and click Copy.
    - Switch to Excel and paste (Ctrl+V).

    2) Create the circled M in a graphics program such as Paint, and copy/paste it as a picture into Excel.

    Re: Combined characters (Excel 2003)

Thanks for the tip. I need the circled M as a character so that I could identify certain actions as having been taken by myself, my colleague uses the circled R for his work. I have enough information now to proceed further with getting the necessary font, so I guess this problem should be considered resolved.

    Thanks for the trouble.
