    Replace (Word XP)

I want to remove all occurences of text that is preceded by // and followed by in my document. For example, I want to Find //Richard and //Maria and replace them with nothing. If I Find //? and Replace with nothing, I still end up with a final in each location. Am I doing something wrong with my search? Are the slashes reservered characters?

    Thanks,
    Richard Barrett
