    audacity help (vista home premium)

I have audacity installed and it will not record. I have tried to update drivers, it says there are none to update. Any help please. This is for a new computer not an XP upgrade
    Thanks

What are you trying to record? Using what source device?

I am trying to record streams from the internet but also cds that I play. I don't have to use Audacity, just some stream recorder that will work with vista. I want to catpture streams and turn them into MPs. thanks

Have you installed any of the additional plugins listed at Audacity: Windows? BTW, the Windows Media Player can rip your CDs.

Have you checked the Audacity: Documentation and Support pages? There is some pretty extensive documentation online plus there is a link to post a question in their forum. You'd most likely find better help there with people who know the program much better than I.
