Insight Broadband 'Security'

Overnight email from my ISP, Insight Communications, offering a free computer security package from CA (Computer Associates) as long as you maintain your broadband service with Insight: Insight Broadband :: PC Security. According to the CA web site ( Total Protection - Internet Security Suite ) it seems to be a $70 product PACKAGE. I think I'll pass since I don't much care to get involved with a "package" deal and have to un-do all the setup, time and work I've already done to get where I am on security. I guess it's a good deal for an Insight newbie and maybe other ISPs are already doing something like this.

My ISP (Roadrunner) also offers a package deal from CA which I use and am satisfied with. I could have opted for just the virus software and/or the firewall since (if I am remembering correctly) the installation program gave me choices of what I wanted. I also have an anti-spam program as well as Pest Patrol that came with the deal. So far, it is okay! And the price is right!

Comcast has been providing McAfee for some time. I will not use it, but I know of several people that are and are happy with it. Most of them were running Norton's before the " offer from Comcast.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Charter provides Charter High-Speed Security Suite which is from F-Secure.com > F-Secure Corporation.

Yup...I have RoadRunner also, but since I have Vista, this security package isn't available for me.
