    Adobe Wreaked Havoc (2003)

I've installed and uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 6.0 on my pc and now, every time I open Word, I get the Visual Basic error you see at the top of the attached picture.
If I click ok and then open the Visual Basic Editor, I see there's a locked Adobe PDFMaker project that's probably the cause of the mishap and which is also present in the Templates and Add-ins window but that I can't remove.
How can I get rid of the error message?

    Close all instances of Word.

PDFMaker.dot provides a custom toolbar with buttons for converting a document to PDF format.

PDFMaker provides macros that allows you to create PDFs from Word that include hyperlinks and bookmarks (the hierarchical heading navigation thingy on the left in Acrobat).

If you create PDFs from Word without these macros then you don't get these 'nice' features in your resulting PDFs.
