    Normal.dot Word 97 & 2002 (Word97 SP2)

I've suddenly encountered the following anomalies in both Word 97 and 2002. In normal view, word wrap doesn't work. Text continues past the right margin but wraps at the edge of the window. When I reduce the margins, the text still extends to the edge of the window. Page layout view shows correct wrapping but text is small.
Also, "page-width" now reduces the text rather than adjusting the window to the right margin and enlarging the text. I have tried replacing both normal.dots with older versions, but the problems remain. Help, please.

Check the View tab of Tools | Options...
In the section labeled 'Outline and Normal options', there is a check box "Wrap to window". If this check box is ticked, Word will ignore the margin settings in Normal and Outline view, and use the width of the document window.

About zooming: aren't you confusing the Text Width and Page Width options?

BTW, wow! The first post from one of the first Lounge members!
