Limit find to single record (2003)

Is there a way to run FIND within a single field in a single record -- something similar to FIND and FIND NEXT in a Word document?
    Thanks

Umm, can you explain why you would need Find within a single field in a single record? Seems overkill to me...

I'm using Access to replace the old-fashioned index-card method in writing a non-fiction book. Some records contain a single quote. Others have 10-page documents. It's for these larger files (records) that I need the ability to run FIND multiple times w/o the search taking me to the rest of the records in the database.

No, Access doesn't offer this functionality. You'd have to create it yourself in a form based on the table, using a popup form to act as "Find" dialog, and using VBA code to do the search.

I was afraid that would be the answer. Thanks for the help, Hans.
