Create a Hyperlink from Excel to Word (MS Word97)

    HI!

I'd like to create a hyperlink from excel to word. This link needs to open the word document and go to a specific section (bookmark) in the document. This document is in 8 sections with 4-10 subsections that each hyperlink created in excel would point to. I don't want the user to have to do anything more than click to get to the needed section.

I can only get a hyperlink to open the word document... any ideas? I'd rather not have to create a macro... but will if I have to.

In Office 2000, trying to use Excel's Bookmark... button gave me errors, but I could do what you want as follows:

    (1) Select cell in Excel and click the Hyperlink button
    (2) Click the File... button and find the file, and OK
    (3) Manually type #MyBookmark at the end of the file name
    (4) Click OK
