    Date insertions (2007)

Is there a convenient way to insert any date other than today's date in a document? This would be in the default style of today's date. I realize that I can copy a date from a calendar in Outlook or something of the sort, but that is not really convenient. It has occurred to me that I can have a Word document that is a calendar and pluck dates from that, but that still isn't the same as having something built-in.

Most thngs you could come up with are probably more work than simply typing in the date, if it is not today's date or the last modified date or something like that.

It would take some work, but you could build a form with a calendar control and attach that to a toolbar button. (Or is that a Quick Access bar button for you?)

    Hi,

    Checkout Martin Green's VBA site:

    http://www.fontstuff.com/word/index.htm

You will find exactly what you want, but not for Word 2007. However check with Martin - it may work anyway.

    Good Luck!

You sure hit the nail on the head with that link. How on earth Microsoft could have come this far without acquiring and implementing it given the publication date(s) is beyond me (assuming it works, and I admit that I haven't yet gone through it all, and I note that the second is a work in progress).

You were right: it is exactly what I wanted, and I bet a lot of other users do too. Thank you very much indeed.
