    Mail Merge Addresses from Excel into Word doc (xp & 2003)

    I'm trying to mail merge names and addresses in the attached Excel file into a word document. But i'm not being successful at it. what is my problem.

    The data file for a mail merge should be in a database-like table format: field names (column headers) in the first row, each row is a separate record (name, address, etc.) and each column is a specific field (data item). For example:
