    Automatic Email Response (Outlook 2003)

Can you remind me how to set up an "out of town" automatic email response on my email account? I so rarely use this function that I can't remember how to do it.

Re: Automatic Email Response (Outlook 2003)

You could create a Rule using the "reply using a specific template" option - see Automatic reply..., and notice that like an Out-of-Office message, this type of rule replies only once to each sender, until the Rule is turned off and restarted.

(PS., you appear to have asked something like this before regarding the standard Out-of-Office which works on Exchange Server, so I assume that this question is for a standalone machine. FWIW, this type of Rule can also be used to send a different message than the standard O-o-O. <img src=/S/anigrin.gif border=0 alt=anigrin width=19 height=19>)
