Open File Dialog Settings (Office 2007)

Using Office 2007, and opening a file in Word, Excel, or whatever, how do I get Office 2007 to save the settings on the open file dialog box? Every time I open a file I change the setting to view the Details but I haven't yet found a way to save this view for all time. Just in case, I am also using Windows Vista Business.

    Thanks

Has anyone been able to figure out an answer to this problem? I find it extremely annoying too.

    Thanks, Joe.

I just realized that using XP my File Open dialog is just what I want. However, with Vista Home Premium it is not. I'll have to check at home and follow the suggestions.
