    Running Macros Automatically (Access 2003)

    Hi,

Im very new to the joys of Access and need to run two macros every night at 6pm. Ideally I dont want to hang around until this time and run them manually and wondered if there is a way that I can set something somewhere to do this for me?

    Any suggestions??

    Many Thanks.

You can create a shortcut that opens the database and runs a macro (which can call other macros using the RunMacro action, and which can contain Quit as last action). The target for the shortcut would look like this:

    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11MSAccess.exe" "CatabasesMyDatabase.mdb" /x MyMacro

You can then create a scheduled task in Windows that opens this shortcut at 6PM every day. To create a task, select Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Scheduled Tasks.
