    Return Query properties (97sr2)

    I am trying to make it easy for end users to see the actual purpose of a query by returning the properties string as noted for each query.
    I am using a query on the system table to return the query name but would like an adjacent label to update with the query proerties.

    Can anyone point me in direction to retrieve the string?

    TIA

    You'll have to use VBA to retrieve the description:

    Dim strQueryName As String
    Dim strDescription As String
    strQueryName = "qryEmployees"
    strDescription = CurrentDb.QueryDefs(strQueryName).Properties("Desc ription")
