Remove header footer from 2nd page (XP)

Have a letterhead template - it's only one page - will probably end up more than one page more often than not when someone actually types a letter on it.

Do NOT want the header or footer on any subsequent pages - have no clue how to do that since the template is only one page.

    Help, please.

    Select File | Page Setup...
    Activate the Layout tab.
Tick the check box "Different first page".
    Click OK.
The header and footer will disappear, but we will correct that shortly.

Press Ctrl+End to go to the end of the template.
Press Ctrl+Enter to insert a page break (don't worry, it's only temporary)
Select View | Header and Footer.

Press Ctrl+A to select the entire header.
Press Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard.
Click the Show Previous button on the toolbar to go to the first page header.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the header.
Click in the next to last line and press Delete to remove the extra paragraph that was added.

Click the Show Next button on the toolbar to return to page 2.
Click the Header/Footer button to activate the footer.

Press Ctrl+A to select the entire footer.
Press Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard.
Click the Show Previous button on the toolbar to go to the first page footer.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the footer.
Click in the next to last line and press Delete to remove the extra paragraph that was added.

Click the Close button on the toolbar.
You should be back on page 2. Its header and footer should now be empty.
Press Backspace to delete the page break.
Even though the second page disappears, its header and footer settings will be remembered.

Excellent!!!!! Worked just like it should have and I've shared it so you get all the credit for writing such clear direction and I get some for actually following them!

    Thanks again, Hans.
